Initial Buildout

The Gathering of Aspiring Technologists (GOAT) launched the first wave in the "Gulf of Technology" here in the panhandle of Florida! With over 40 attendees, this event was the perfect prototype for much larger events to come.

July 20th, 2024 - Thank You for Coming!

GOAT Conf 1 marked the launch of our autonomous racing journey. This foundational event brought together over 40 makers, engineers, and robotics enthusiasts who assembled their first autonomous race cars, integrated sensors, and took their first steps into the world of self-driving vehicles.

What We Accomplished

The event focused on hardware assembly, sensor integration, and basic control systems. Participants worked hands-on with Jetson computers, cameras, and motor controllers to bring their robots to life.

Key Milestones

✅ VESC Motor Controller - Successfully integrated and working
✅ Digital Twin - Complete simulation environment created
✅ NVIDIA Omniverse - Explored sim-to-real transfer capabilities
✅ 40+ Attendees - Amazing turnout from the community

This event established the collaborative, learning-focused culture that defines GOAT Club events and paved the way for GOAT Conf 1.5 and beyond.
